Impressions After the Premiere of Last Year at Marienbad - CHANEL

Winner of a Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 1961, Last Year at Marienbad has been digitised and restored in 4k, with the support of CHANEL. The restored version of the film was premiered at the 75th Venice Film Festival. Anna Mouglalis, Tilda Swinton, Lucia Pica and Chloé Sevigny share their impressions after the screening of this avant-garde film by Alain Resnais. Released in 1961, Last Year at Marienbad was considered revolutionary at the time for its photography, its powerful use of black and white, the mix of reality and imagination and the narrative's chronology. For the film, Gabrielle Chanel selected dresses from her collections to create a look that evoked the splendour of the 1920s as well as a modern and timeless elegance.
